About Me
My name is Mishawn Tremper. I am a wife of 25 years and a mom of 4. Before starting a family, I taught Kinder and 1st grade. I have always loved teaching reading, especially with struggling readers. One of my sons has struggled with reading and is dyslexic. I have learned a lot in working with him and figuring out how he learns best. He has had a lot of success using the Barton System. I have been using this tutoring system for many years now. I so enjoy working with my students and families and seeing the growth they make in the time I spend with them.
I tutor struggling readers, out of my home or online, to help them bridge the gap. I help students at all ranges and ages. I work with students who have moderate to profound dyslexia or reading/spelling difficulties. I primarily use the Barton Reading and Spelling System. It is an Orton Gillingham multi-sensory approach to teaching reading and spelling.
